Andy Waggoner is the conductor and Artistic Director for The Collinsville Chorale in the Metro-East St. Louis Area.
The Chorale has an active membership of 80 auditioned voices and sings regularly throughout the Collinsville
Community. Full-time, Andy is the Director of Worship at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church in South St.
Louis.
As a choral singer, he has been a member with the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Ms. Kaiser
and also the St. Louis Metro Singers, under the direction of Kevin McBeth, where he assisted in conducting. Andy
has directed choirs and music programs at Redeemer Evangelical Church in St. Louis, MO, St. Paul United Church
of Christ in Waterloo, IL, and St. John United Church of Christ in St. Charles, MO.
He has led workshops and leadership training in the areas of music, worship, church member involvement and
teaching with Love and Logic. Under his direction, choirs have performed numerous concerts and appearances at
such venues as the Cathedral Basilica, The Sheldon Concert Hall and several local churches and theatres. Andy
has prepared over 200 participants in three different residencies at Carnegie Hall in New York City through Mid-
America Productions.
Andy will return to Carnegie Hall in the Fall of 2011, sharing the podium with a few of his best friends and colleagues.
In addition to conducting, vocal solo credits include a CD in 2003 of his performance at the renowned Sheldon
Concert Hall in St. Louis, a few concerts at Jazz at the Bistro in Grand Center and several church solo concerts.
Andy was the tenor soloist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for the Holiday Pops Concerts in 2003,
performing Holts’ Christmas Day along with the St. Louis Metro Singers. In 2009, he made his jazz debut at St.
Louis' Jazz at the Bistro, at the Bistro at Grand Center.
Andy has participated in over 50 shows as an actor, director, musical director, producer and conductor. He was
nominated twice by Arts For Life, a St. Louis area theatre recognition guild, for his role in Jekyll and Hyde and for
musically directing Suessical. Past favorite shows include Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Cinderella, How to Succeed in
Business Without Really Trying, Bells Are Ringing, Little Shop of Horrors, City of Angels, Suessical, New Moon,
Honk!, Jekyll and Hyde, La Cage Aux Folles, High Society and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. In 2009, Andy
was the Executive Producer of the Arts for Life Best Performance Awards at The Sheldon Concert Hall.
In the summer of 2010, Andy became Executive Producer of his own production company, producing cabarets and
shows at The Bistro at Grand Center, The Kranzberg Arts Center and the Sheldon Concert Hall. Since it's inception
in September of 2010, over 1200 people have attended his productions.
Andy has studied and taught private piano, voice, and conducting and has also lead community choral festivals. In
2010, he studied with Ms. Amy Kaiser, director of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus. Andy is a member of the
American Choral Director's Association, The Conductor’s Associations of Missouri, Illinois and Texas, Music
Educator's National Conference, and The Fellowship of United Methodist Worship Arts.
